​I am a clinical psychologist with a passion for research, teaching and science.

​​My research is focused on understanding how the ability to regulate physiological arousal influences emotion regulation, behaviour and mental wellbeing, in children and young people. ​​Before academia, I worked as a clinical psychologist in private and public health services, involved in diagnostic assessment and psychological interventions.

I am a Lecturer in Child and Adolescent Mental Health at the University of Southampton UK, and an Honorary Assistant Professor of Psychology at the University of Nottingham Malaysia.
I am also Joint Editor of the Journal of Child Psychiatry and Psychology Advances and I co-lead the South East Asia Mental Health Consortium (SEAMHC).
